I’m an author and freelance writer/content editor based in Adelaide ✧

I’m currently working on my second book, a surf noir novel. My debut novella Dark Wave won the 2020 Viva La Novella prize, and my short story ‘Bogan Botticelli’ was daily winner of the Swinburne Microfiction award.

My award-winning fiction has appeared in Going Down Swinging, Anthology of Australasian Stories, and the 2019 Swinburne Microfiction award. I edited Wake, an anthology of poetry and short stories. My non-fiction has been published widely; I’ve written for The Guardian, Yen magazine, Junkee, The Adelaide Review, and Right Angle Studios among others.

I also work with interesting brands across editorial, marketing, and content direction, including Writers SA, Etsy, Ecoya, and Sydney Writers’ Festival.

After graduating from the University of South Australia with a degree in Creative Writing, I followed a career as a fashion and content editor for global brands, including as Senior Editor at ASOS Australia, before returning to my hometown, where I live by the sea and work as a freelancer. I also write an infrequent TinyLetter with author Nadia Bailey called Books & Beaches.

I have gratefully received project funding from Arts South Australia for my current novel in progress—a sequel to Dark Wave.
